Discussion with Bavarian Minister of Finance Albert Füracker

On February 7, 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming
- the Bavarian Minister of Finance, Albert Füracker, Member of the Bavarian State Parliament (MdL),
- Dr. Benjamin Zeitler – CSU candidate for mayor,
- Dr. Stephan Oetzinger, MdL, and
- members of the CSU City Council and the CSU parliamentary group in Weiden
to our premises.
The discussions focused on the overall economic situation, with particular attention to the opportunities and challenges in residential construction and the real estate industry as a whole.
In addition to numerous construction projects already completed by W.I.V., the Bavarian Minister of Finance was presented with the “KönigsTOR” in 93051 Regensburg – the most recent major project completed by W.I.V. – as well as the “Wohnpark Augsburg Haunstetten” currently under construction and the largest residential development project in the city of Augsburg at present.
Further upcoming large-scale projects of W.I.V. in the areas of local supply and retail were also outlined:
- the redevelopment of the former real-market site in the northern part of Weiden, where the “WIV Center Weiden-Nord” a modern local supply center, is planned, and
- the inner-city development measures in the center of the town of Tirschenreuth. These include the planned implementation of the “WIV Center Tirschenreuth” south of Bahnhofstraße and the revitalization and partial redevelopment of the existing “TEO” local supply center north of Bahnhofstraße, forming an urban development flagship project for the Northern Upper Palatinate region.
Minister of Finance Albert Füracker emphasized that, together with the Bavarian State Government, he will continue to strongly advocate for the promotion of residential construction and the real estate sector in Bavaria.
